Turkish & German World War I POW and Internee Mail from Egypt

The display showed the various POW and Internee camps in Egypt with relevant cachets.  Little mail exists from the Turkish side as the majority of the POWs and Internees were illiterate.  It was pointed out that the British used Armenian's to guard the Turk's as they spoke Turkish and due the massacre of Armenian's before the war some of them took the opportunity for revenge. As a result the British were accused of war crimes after the War.
