Lord Keyes WWII

WWII is not my war, but this cover ties in with some nice Churchill / Keyes material I have from WWI.

I would be most interested to hear of any info on the cover shown in this post.

I understand the acronym PMR stands for Paymaster (in WWI anyway) - I don't know who or why that piece of paper has been stuck on the envelope

HM LCG (M) was a Landing Craft Tank and No 128 was skippered by a Lieutenant Edward (Ted) Bentley

I thought Keyes was an Admiral not a mere Lieutenant, or was this a relative?

Thanks Geoff

I'm fairly certain this chap was a son of the well known Lord Keyes of WWI

I have had some additional info since my post, and I'll put the cover on Nick Colley's next online list where I will add the details I have

Cheers

Tony
