Censored Special Service BAPO Y Dardanelles Q Ship?
I am posting this cover here so there is a record of the Censor cachet, I can not see this listed in Gould, as it is marked Fleet Letter and to HMS Europa, I assume RN.
JY 17 15 Base APO Y Proud located onboard HMT Aragon, headed OHMS Fleet Mail to HMS Europa with cachet CENSORED SPECIAL SERVICE.
I have not seen this before. Initially I thought Royal Marines, but I am drawn towards a Q-Ship, as the Special Service reference was often used by them.
