Service history RAF c1946?

I have a small selection of letters from a Warrant Officer, RAF, who was in Singapore in 1946, during the BMA period and wrote home to his wife. Little postal history, as all from the same RAF POST office, but fascinating insights into life in Singapore in the summer of 1946, as the City started recovering from the Occupation years.

From his letters he was in the RAF since late 1939, and I'm pretty sure I've found him in the 1939 Register.

He signed his letters 'Paddy' which doesn't help. He probably left the RAF in the Autumn of 1946, he was pretty annoyed at being down-graged to a Flight Sargeant. I have his service number and surname, but can anyone help me find his service record?

many thanks Susan

He was Warrant Officer H Wales, 513355.

b 1911, d 1976. Warrant officer from 1 Feb 1941

joined the RAF c1939 from his comments.

The 1939 Register confirms his service number, so he joined before the Register was taken. I have now discovered that the H is for Herman. No wonder he signed himself as 'Paddy'. Forces War Records gave the basic data and Find my Past the 1939 record. But that's about all.
