Malcolm Cole gives a display of the WW1 postcards from Captain Bruce Bairnsfather, the famously Commissioned cartoonist, employed during WW1 by the War Office. He explains how these cards caught the attention of troops on the front line, their families at home and also the German Army, who’s military prowess was often the subject of the Fragments of France cartoons.
