French Morocco - The Residence Generale at Rabat

FPHS Member Peter Stockton shows a significant collection of covers and cards associated with the French Residence Generale at Rabat, drawn from his French Morocco collection. He explains the history behind the residence, from where the French authorities exercised both their civil and military authority within the country. The display includes a range of cachets authorising free post and shows a number of postal markings from the residence as well as associated stationary.
