Giving an insight into RAF Habbaniya, Nick Colley explains the Treaty of Alliance and Mutual Support signed by Britain and Iraq in 1930 and how this allowed the development of British bases at Habbaniya and Shaibah. He then shows a number of WW2 covers and airgraphs from the period up to April 1941 with mail handled by the Iraqi postal system.
