Hi Tony, very nice and interesting item, thanks for sharing! the handstamp "Released by the British Military Authorities" is listed as type HS27a by Graham Mark in his book. Graham writes it was applied in July/August 1919 when detained mail was released, which should work well with the transit mark in Brazil in September.
