British A.P.O (HD) Home Defence WW1
Hello just starting to put together some sheets for my (HD) cards but looking for some inspiration on how to display theme on the pages.
i did think that there was some pages in the display section on the site for (HD) post marks but unable to find them, i did see a display for home postmarks but did not take a look, what i was hoping was to look at how they are displayed and some ideas on layout.
is it better to have the original card mounted to the top of the page showing the postmark, then the writeup in the middle then a image of the front of the card if relevant to the location of the postmark.
i have only ever done a few display pages and never shown them to anyone as i am quite new to this side of collecting, i have been collecting military postmarks for many years but only just decided to try and do some pages and get my collection into some sort of order now i have a bit more time.
i hope that this is not a daft question.
best regards.
Andy

I have shown APO (HD) postmarks in the past with some Army Camps postmarks, but not sure whether they were on the website or not.
These APOs are listed in Proud WW1 British FPO book and Kennedy & Crabb book both have lists with locations (I think from memory not all the locations are known for later numbers).
There was another partial list in Newsletter No. 49 page 83 that I am aware of (I was sorting out Newsletters this afternoon). This is one is not currently on the Website as part of the missing Newsletters. I now have copy of the missing newsletter and will copy the pages, if required, but I think this list was used by Proud.
Not sure the above would help if query is how to write up a collection as we all do it differently and no way is wrong, unless you are going to enter the collection in a competition then would have to read the rules.
