Undeliverable England to Poland (Russia) 1915
I have two covers under this heading, one is attached here, the second will be a following post, the two need to be considered together.
The attached cover, written up for the present has all the details shown on the sheet. It seems the envelope got as far as Paris before it was returned as undeliverable due to the war. OK that's is fairly straightforward, but one wonders why it could not have gone direct? I have a number of envelopes/letters that did so.

Following the battle of Lodz which commenced in late 1914 I believe the area was still in German hands at this time therefore was classed as enemy territory.
