MOST useful for adding interest to a write-up by establishing whether the sender (or addressee) survived whatever misfortune may have happened to his ship. Goes from pre WW1 to post WW2 - see attached. Broken down by years and month - or, in the case of a big loss (eg HMS Hood), by week.
